AppSurfer uses Ruby On Rails as the primary web framework. It handles a lot of complex tasks, which are not generally encountered by web apps. It manages the AppSurfer systems software, with custom allocation and load balancing engines. It serves and manages AppSurfer clients for multitudes of platforms. It also handles various algorithms for Search and ranking of Apps.

The required skillset is -

• In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework and Rails best practices.
• Good understanding of the Web, familiarity with ideas like REST, APIs, Caching, Web Sockets.
• Knowledge of HAML, SASS and JQuery
• Open source contributions is great plus

We are looking for designers to shape AppSurfer into the swishiest app site we know.

• Exceptional photoshop skills
• Knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5
• Experience with mockup wireframing tools
• Good understanding of building user experiences for web as well as mobile

Core technology of AppSurfer is Systems software. It consists of customizing Android itself. It also consists of new custom protocols to be designed and built, and multitude of technologies like Audio/Video streaming, sensor mappings etc.

The required skillset is -

• Experience with C - C++ development
• Working understanding of Java
• Understanding of Linux , and operating systems in General
• Understanding of Android Framework is a huge plus
• Knowledge of Virtualization softwares is also a great plus ( Xen and Kvm preferably)
